Gustave Eiffel "Genius of Iron"

Description
Paris City Hall pays tribute to the creator of the Eiffel Tower. His work changed the skyline of Paris. Gustave Eiffel completed the Eiffel Tower 120 years ago. To pay tribute to the ingenious engineer, Paris City Hall is playing host to the first major exhibition entirely dedicated to the man who built the most famous tower in the world.

Alexander Calder, les années parisiennes - 1926-1933

Description
The goal of this exhibition, devoted to the first creative years of Alexander Calder in Paris (1926-1933), is to inquire into the sources of this "engineer art", particularly the ones which led to his first masterpiece, the Circus. Thanks to the numerous exhibited objects, brought to life with films and archive documents, the visitors will discover the magic of the artist's animated creations and the vividness of his iron thread portraits, inspired by stars and artists of his time. The exhibition also emphasizes the other major period of Calder, who in 1930, after visiting the Mondrian Workshop, definitely chose the abstract style.

L'Épopée Tour Eiffel

Until 31 December, the Eiffel Tower is hosting the exhibition « L’épopée tour Eiffel » (The epic Eiffel Tower) which traces the origins and conception of this spectacular and amazing monument through objects, posters, photographs, engravings, boards with interactive animations, film projections, etc. It also invites the public to discover 300 reproductions of the tower and the works of artists inspired by the monument.
